"The officer has been charged and it will see how the RCMP handles the case given they are in the midst of a 100 million dollar payout, the result of a successful court ruling for sexual harassment."
The perpetrator is a woman Const. Lacey Browning
"Wang had not been accused of a crime, but Browning handcuffed and dragged her face-first through her building. In the lobby of the building, Browning pushed Wang's head into the ground with her boot."
"Despite this, Browning is only one of many officers who harm the general public they vow to protect. Everyday so many people go through the same assault or worse that I’ve been through without any glimmer or hope or justice," Wang said.
There is no, "Alleges" as she had been charged and the RCMP settled a lawsuit by the victim.
An online petition calling for her [the officer] termination and prosecution sits at nearly 390,000 signatures.

This is not the first incident from this detachment. A male officer asked the victim of sexual assault if she, "Was turned on by it."

This post and the video are very disturbing. What is happening with Canada's national police force? There is definitely a management problem at the Kelowna police department and for sure with the RCMP training that this officer would believe her actions were protocol. Shit, what is the world coming to?
I hope the student settled for a great deal of money. I did a little more research and found that the RCMP is settling, not by choice but by court order, millions for sexual harassment cases. 2,000 women. Talk about systemic misogyny.
