One participant shared his story that he had been a student at the Kamloops Residential School, stopping to point to the building just above the Arbor, where he was held for 10 years. After being released, he said it took years to recover from the nightmares of horror, of remembering the beatings, so little food and the constant harassing him of his heritage.
