"The Vancouver Police Department has committed to addressing all the recommendations of the inquest into the death of Const. Nicole Chan, who died by suicide following years of sexual harassment and fraught intimate relationships with her superiors."
"Mandatory psychological screening for recruits.
Annual psychological assessments for officers.
Better training about respectful workplaces.
An acknowledgment that rumours and gossip in the workplace are unprofessional."

I see considerable similarities between Chan's situation and this which occurred in Kelowna, British Columbia. My question is, where are the supervisors in the Kelowna detachment and why wasn't the harasser reprimanded?
"On that day, the hearing said Roesler was working, sitting at her desk at 3 a.m., and was being badgered and incessantly teased by a coworker who wouldn’t take hints to leave her alone, despite being told to “f–k off” and that she was “not in the mood” to joke."

I've been harassed at work and stopped it immediately by threatening physical retaliation. This worked for me because of my reputation in training. Few men wanted to engage in defensive tactics with me.
