The Canadian Police Association is expressing our sympathies to the families of South Simcoe Constable Devon Northrup and Constable Morgan Russell who were shot and killed Tuesday night.
South Simcoe Police report that the two officers were responding to a call at a home in Innisfil, Ontario where they were shot inside the suspect’s home.
These tragic losses of life follow two other officers who were killed in the last month in Ontario.
We are saddened that these incidents are becoming all too common and wish to recognize all the brave officers who put themselves in harms way to keep us safe.
Our organization will always stand on behalf of our heroic police officers and their families.
We will keep the officers’ families in our thoughts during this difficult time.
In loving memory of Const. Devon Northrup and Const. Morgan Russell.
Sincerely,
Canadian Police Association
Penelope and I join our Canadian colleagues and those world-wide in sharing our sorrow at the loss of Morgan and Devon. Thank you officers for your service, we will see you on the other side.
