The new helicopters, designated for border patrols, are part of the RCMP's expanded fleet, now totaling 11 helicopters dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of Canadians.
Based in locations across the country, RCMP Air Services Members undertake a wide variety of important operations. In the video below, Cpl. Curtis Brassington from Air Services in British Columbia takes us behind the scenes to explore his duties as a tactical flight officer and how using a helicopter can contribute to greater community safety. While the helicopters in the video may not be black hawks, the expertise and high levels of training our pilot Members receive is the same."
