“While attempting to enforce the warrants, the man allegedly produced a weapon and was shot by police,” said the RCMP. “The incident continued and the woman was also shot as a result.”
I'm concerned that the often over zealous oversight scrutinization may cause a Member's nano second hesitation to engage.
All Members went home safe.
It is regrettable and disturbing that the Independent Investigation Office has a policy of guilty until proven innocent.
MacDonald's comment, "Police allege the victims had a weapon." Allege!! implying the Members could be lying.
Unacceptable behavior and attitude which has caused distress in Members fulfilling their duties then humiliated by unsubstantiated allegations by the IIO.
Our appreciation to Global for the video and article.
