From the wildlife to the majestic beauty of the Northern lights, Cst. Tomasz Cichoń from the Iqaluit detachment is an expert at highlighting the beauty that surrounds him. Cst. Cichoń moved to Canada from Poland in 1994 and quickly began capturing the beauty that Canada has to offer, including places like the Northern Rockies and now Iqaluit, Nunavut.
After joining the RCMP in 2009, Cst. Cichoń worked all over British Columbia but hoped to serve in northern Canada. In 2021, he and his family had the opportunity to move to Iqaluit, where he currently works in general-duty. Working in Northern communities can feel isolating, with no road access and longer winters, but working with highly motivated colleagues hearing stories from local residents are the best part of working up North for Cst. Cichoń, who is also raising his family in Iqaluit.
