From my last post it is clear that many have missed the purpose of Indigenous Veterans Day. This day was announced in 1994. In 1995 Indigenous Veterans finally could participate in remembrance day and they could lay wreaths for their comrades. Also, just 10 years before in 1985 a group of Indigenous Veterans were arrested trying to honour their fallen . We all have a lot to learn and the media and our education system like to skip our history. --------- A friend shared a quick read explaining the importance of this day. Please spend the 3-5 minutes and read it.
