For thousands of disgruntled Canadians, he just may be their next president.

For a Canadian who grew up in S. California, went to high school and university and became a Marine I find the statistic interesting.
Post graduation the only job I could find qualified me for food stamps. British Columbia offered me far more than that, allowing me to repay my student loan in five years.
I enjoy our form of government and a health care system which doesn't require a health care professional to obtain insurance company approval to treat a patient (my U.S. relatives are HCP)
The America of today is not the one in which I grew up. With Trump leading by 6 points in the latest poll, he may be the first convicted felon to become president.
His support continues to grow.
"Many conservative donors already viewed the New York hush money cash as political persecution, echoing the Republican presidential candidate’s claim that Democrats are trying to weaken him ahead of the Nov. 5 election against President Joe Biden. Prosecutors have dismissed those claims as untrue. A New York jury found Trump guilty on Thursday of falsifying documents to cover up a payment to silence a porn star ahead of the 2016 election."
My Canadian family and I wish the new American residents all the best in their choice.
As a new Canadian I left what they are seeking. Watching American politics...out of habit...I cringe at the thought of Trump being president again and can not fathom why so many educated women voted for him given his vulgarity.
