Fortunately for Canadians and the world, that satellite has been replaced by the the RCM, (RADARSAT Constellation Mission) constellation of three radar imaging satellites at a cost of $ 975, built by MDA, a Montreal firm and used exclusively by the Department of National Defense.
RCM consists of three satellites which provide images of the Arctic four times daily and watches the world's surface at an altitude of 600 km.
The Canadian Space Agency operates the satellites using AIS, Automatic Identification System with the capability of tracking every movement on earth.

Canada's spy agency sure is a great deal more covert than the CIA! Three spy satellites!!
This would be disturbing if it hadn't happened 13 years ago. Thank you Canada Space Agency for operating your own spy satellite.
I can not image the world with Russia having access to other countries' intelligence.
