"Who won?"
It's irrelevant.
America is not a democracy, it is a republic.

I'm also an American and can remember high school teachers at a loss trying to explain why the country still has this antequated electoral system. As noted above, the result with Bush and Trump becoming president when they lost brought catastrophy to America and Americans.
I attended American schools and remember studying their political system and found it bizzare.
Elections should matter.
2000 Gore won the most votes, BushJr. Got the Electoral vote.
It was Bush who invaded Iraq and Unleashed instability in the region.
Social media is revealing a great number of women who like Vance's personality but don't mention his policies.
Millions of educated women voted for Trump in 2016. He lost the election but became president.
Here is the voter demographics of the 2016 election which Clinton won.
Finally someone writing the truth.
Clinton won the popular vote in 2016. The American people voted her in but she lost by the electoral college.
