I like most people have heard of the tazering death at the Vancouver Airport. We as police officers and citizens form our opinions, and look at both sides with a critical eye. Police officers are more inclined to examine the facts or take sides.
I just finished this book. One of my negative absolutes about organizations is that the organizations will do what ever it takes to protect the image before the employee.
The RCMP is no exception. This fortified that belief in this book alone with my living some of the same experiences that I lay out in my own book. (“Black Cop” by Calvin Lawrence with Miles Howe).
The pain and suffering of all is laid bare.
I hope that everyone who is applying to become an RCMP officer reads this book. No, l beg you to read this book.
There are the RCMP core values as they are posted on the internet that all can see. They are values so go that you would think that they were put together in heaven. But in reality we are living on earth.
If you as an RCMP member find yourself jammed up for no good reason and you are dismayed and disappointed this book will explain why.
If you drink the cool aid and dismiss this book as just another sob story, l will feel sorry when your, career, health, and family life is destroyed.
Oh, it can’t happen to me is a life and death way of thinking.
